Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways has significantly expanded its Indian network by introducing four new destinations: Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur. This move, part of Project Vande Bharat, boosts the airline's routes to a total of 12 destinations and 49 weekly flights, thereby enhancing connectivity between Kuwait and South India.
Barathan Pasupathi, CEO of Jazeera Airways, emphasized the importance of India as a key market, reflecting on the expansion's potential to ease travel for the large Indian diaspora in Kuwait. He noted that since resuming operations on March 20, the airline has transported over 11,000 passengers, enhancing direct access to more home regions.
The initiative is supported by the Indian Business and Professionals Council in Kuwait, highlighting Jazeera's commitment to sustaining vital links amidst travel disruptions. The enhanced network promises to facilitate the movement of essential workforce segments and maintain robust cargo and supply chains between the two nations.
