Heavy snowfall has wreaked havoc on traffic across Jammu, with key routes like Mughal Road and the Basohli–Bani–Bhaderwah road severely impacted. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been working tirelessly to clear snow and restore connectivity.
The Mughal Road, a crucial link between Poonch, Rajouri, and south Kashmir's Shopian, was closed following Tuesday's heavy snowfall. BRO's 79 RCC team is actively clearing the route to resume traffic, while BRO’s 52 RCC has managed to clear the road from Hirpora to Peer Ki Gali despite further snowfall complications.
In Doda district, which remains isolated due to snow, additional resources are deployed for road restoration. The BRO is also addressing landslides on the Reasi–Mahore road, with significant operations like the one at Malai Nallah meant to clear major blockages.
