Supreme Power Equipment Secures ₹113 Cr in New Transformer Orders
Supreme Power Equipment Limited, a leader in power transformer manufacturing in India, has secured orders worth over ₹113 Cr. This includes significant contracts from Kerala and Tamil Nadu's state utilities. The commissioning of a new manufacturing facility enhances their capacity to fulfill large-scale orders, reinforcing their market position.

In a significant strengthening of its market foothold, Supreme Power Equipment Limited (SPEL), a renowned name in manufacturing power and distribution transformers in India, has announced new orders totaling approximately ₹113.61 crore. This move underscores SPEL's formidable presence in the domestic power equipment sector.
The Chennai-based company secured a ₹35.76 crore contract from the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) for delivering 25 MVA, 110/33 KV transformers, with an execution timeline set for 14 months. Additionally, SPEL clinched another order valued at ₹6.54 crore from the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Company for 500 KVA / 11 KV transformers, to be completed within 12 months.
Further enhancing their portfolio, SPEL's majority-held firm, Danya Electric Company, bagged orders worth ₹71.31 crore. These include a diverse range of distribution transformers for Tamil Nadu Power Distribution, with completion dates spanning 12 to 18 months. The successful operationalization of SPEL's new manufacturing facility bolsters its production efficacy, enabling the efficient handling of larger and varied orders, thus reinforcing SPEL's growth trajectory in India's power infrastructure sector.
Mr. Vee Rajmohan, Chairman and Managing Director of SPEL, expressed satisfaction in securing these substantial state utility contracts, emphasizing their role in affirming the company's reputation for quality and timely execution. With the enhanced capabilities of their newly commissioned facility, SPEL is poised to seize burgeoning opportunities within India's evolving power landscape.
