A deadly accident unfolded on National Highway-48 in Rajasthan's Jalore district when a tanker overturned and burst into flames. One person was killed in the incident, which occurred near the Sinwara overbridge on the Jaisalmer-Jamnagar highway.
Carrying an unknown inflammable substance, the Bharat Petroleum tanker was en route from Barmer to Sanchore when the tragedy struck. The spill resulted in a fire that spread across several metres, affecting traffic flow on the highway.
Police and administrative officials quickly responded, with a fire brigade team dispatched from Sanchore to extinguish the fire. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the tanker, which was registered in Gujarat.
