In a recent incident, high-resolution cameras installed in Vande Bharat trains and AI technology played a crucial role in identifying individuals who attacked the train with stones in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw provided this information to the Lok Sabha, emphasizing the importance of the train's advanced safety features.
Vaishnaw detailed the Vande Bharat trains' array of safety technologies, including anti-climbing systems and high-resolution cameras, during a Question Hour session. Mentioning the effectiveness of these technologies, he cited how AI-assisted analysis of camera footage led authorities to the exact residence of the offenders.
The Minister stated that the implementation of such advanced technology not only enhances safety but also aids in swift apprehension of wrongdoers, thereby ensuring passengers' security on these modern trains.
