JSM Group, the Indian partner of Hard Rock International, has strongly condemned the Florida-based company's sudden decision to terminate franchise agreements in India and close ten Hard Rock Cafes, describing the act as 'unilateral and illegal.'

The move has sparked controversy as the JSM Group insists the closures are unfounded and beyond contractual obligations, without a supporting court order. The partner group states the cafes will remain open unless directed otherwise by a court of appropriate jurisdiction.

While evaluating legal options, JSM Group prioritizes supporting employees, customers, and stakeholders in India. Hard Rock International confirmed the termination, which drastically reduces its footprint across major Indian cities; however, it did not disclose underlying reasons.
