The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made significant strides in empowering its female workforce through a self-defense training program named 'Sahas'. This initiative, executed in collaboration with the Delhi Police, wrapped up on Tuesday, highlighting the agency's dedication to employee safety and empowerment.

The 'Sahas' program was structured into two phases. In the first phase, 1,100 female DMRC employees underwent a basic self-defense workshop conducted by Inspector Kiran Sethi, affectionately referred to as 'Lady Singham'. The training sessions were hosted at the Metro Bhavan and were a resounding success.

The second phase escalated the training with an advanced five-day curriculum designed in conjunction with the Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC). A hundred female employees participated in this intensive course, inaugurated by Lakshmi Dubey, ACP of Delhi Police SPUW&C. Certificates were awarded to graduates during the concluding ceremony attended by key officials.
