Amidst escalating tensions in the West Asian region involving the US, Israel, and Iran, airlines are maneuvering strategically through restricted airspaces. Air India, alongside its low-cost subsidiary Air India Express, announced operations for 58 flights to and from the area on March 11.
The flight plans include continued scheduled services to Jeddah and Muscat. Specifically, Air India will facilitate eight flights to and from Jeddah, while Air India Express commits to 14 flights to and from Muscat. Diverse routes from Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kozhikode are being utilized.
Additionally, subject to the availability of slots at the time, 36 ad-hoc non-scheduled flights to and from the UAE are also being arranged. Both airlines have acquired the necessary permissions from pertinent Indian and local regulatory authorities to navigate these challenging conditions.
