China-North Korea Train Services: A Significant Matter

The Chinese foreign ministry highlighted the importance of maintaining regular passenger train services with North Korea, a matter of "great significance." This statement came amid speculations about the potential resumption of railway connectivity between Beijing and Pyongyang.

Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the ministry, commented during a routine news briefing when queried about the possible reopening of train services set for Thursday. He emphasized that China supports the relevant authorities of both countries in strengthening communication practices.
