Amid swirling social media rumors, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has firmly denied reports of a partial shutdown, asserting the refinery is fully operational. The clarifications followed a viral post suggesting disrupted Middle Eastern crude supplies.

MRPL has stated the claims are baseless, countering that its supply chain is secure. The company emphasized its refinery is functioning at maximum capacity, without any unit shutdowns.

Indian Oil Corporation echoed a similar sentiment, dismissing rumors of fuel shortages as unfounded. Both companies stress the importance of relying on official sources, with assurances of adequate fuel stocks across India.
