Steep Rise in Domestic LPG Prices Amidst Global Conflict Impact

Amidst rising global tensions, domestic cooking gas LPG prices have surged by Rs 60 per cylinder. This significant increase reflects the growing energy prices affected by the ongoing West Asia conflict.
As per the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), non-subsidised LPG for household users now costs Rs 913 for a 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi. This hike, effective from March 7, marks the second price increase in 11 months.
While the prices for the subsidised Ujjwala connections remain unchanged, the rates across different Indian cities vary, with Mumbai at Rs 912.50, Kolkata at Rs 939, and Chennai at Rs 928.50, influenced by local sales taxes.
