The Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, has countered a foreign media report suggesting that the investigation into last year's Air India crash in Ahmedabad has concluded. Mohol asserted that India's internal agencies are diligently working on the probe.
An Italian newspaper alleged that investigators had blamed the pilots, but Mohol urged reliance on domestic agencies for accurate information. He emphasized waiting for the final report before making comments.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau clarified that their probe into the tragedy, which claimed 260 lives, including 241 passengers, is still in progress. The bureau decried any media suggestions of a completed investigation as speculative.
