Akhilesh Yadav Slams India-US Trade Deal as Betrayal to Farmers

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has issued strong criticism against the recent India-US trade deal, claiming it compromises the livelihood of Indian farmers.

Yadav argues that the deal, which allows American agricultural produce easier access to Indian markets by lowering tariffs, effectively betrays nearly 70% of the population reliant on farming. He accuses the BJP of being agents of foreign interests, both historically and presently, asserting these policies exacerbate economic challenges for lower and middle-class communities.

Highlighting the potential fallout, Yadav warns the policies could heighten profiteering in food products and force farmers to sell their lands, turning agricultural prices into a wealth accumulation tool for the affluent.
