In a significant development for Bangalore's public transport system, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) declared the introduction of a fifth metro train on the Yellow Line, coinciding with the 70th Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations.

Starting November 1, the additional train aims to enhance operational frequency during peak hours, reducing intervals from 19 to 15 minutes. This measure is expected to offer a smoother and more reliable commute for metro users, as emphasized in BMRCL's statement.

The corporation also noted that this change won't alter the first and last train schedules from R V Road and Bommasandra. Commuters are encouraged to adapt to and benefit from the improved services.
