In a significant leadership update, Jindal Steel on Tuesday announced the appointment of Gautam Malhotra as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with immediate effect. The decision comes after a board meeting that deemed Malhotra best suited to navigate the company into a strategic future.
Jindal Steel's exchange filing stated, "appointment of Mr. Gautam Malhotra, as the Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company, effective October 28, 2025." Since May 2024, Malhotra has been integral to the company's operations, managing diverse sectors such as mining, production, HR, logistics, technology, and AI adoption.
An alumnus of Manchester Business School, Malhotra leverages over 19 years of industry experience across functions including supply chain, sales, marketing, strategy, finance, and M&A. His leadership is expected to enhance Jindal Steel's commercial value chain and bolster growth through innovative sales and market strategies.
