A SpiceJet flight from Madurai to Dubai was diverted to Chennai on Monday due to a technical problem, according to airport sources and the airline.
The issue was identified mid-flight, leading the crew to safely land the plane carrying 160 passengers at Chennai airport, sources confirmed.
'On October 27, 2025, SpiceJet flight SG 23 was diverted to Chennai owing to a technical issue,' a spokesperson reported, adding, 'The landing was routine and all passengers deplaned normally.'
