The Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025 is poised to convene in New Delhi on October 30-31, aiming to revolutionize global rice trade. This pivotal event, organized by the Indian Rice Exporters' Federation in collaboration with APEDA and the Ministry of Commerce, will address various challenges in the industry.
Conceived as a global platform toward the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision, BIRC will unite key stakeholders such as producers, exporters, importers, and policymakers. The focus will be on enhancing transparency, efficiency, and resilience in the rice trade, cementing India’s status as a leading player in the rice market.
The conference will also highlight rice’s importance to global food security and the challenges it faces. Notably, BIRC 2025 aims to spearhead innovation by introducing AI-based sorting technologies and launching a comprehensive Vision & Roadmap document for the rice industry’s future.
