BenQ, a trailblazer in display solutions, is ramping up its 'make-in-India' initiative. Rajeev Singh, Managing Director for India and South Asia, announced plans to derive nearly half of Indian revenue from locally manufactured products within the next few years. This move aligns with the country's push for domestic manufacturing excellence.

The company initiated sales of made-in-India monitors earlier this year, with plans to increase their market share substantively. By 2026, as BenQ marks 25 years in India, they expect to hit Rs 1,000 crore in sales. Currently, Rs 300 crore of their revenue is from Indian-manufactured goods, across monitors, projectors, and more.

BenQ's commitment extends to the educational sector, leading smart-classroom projects with installations in 50% of Indian schools. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Liang, President of BenQ in the APAC region, stated that their parent company, Qisda Corporation, is exploring manufacturing plant possibilities in India, reflecting a shift from price to value consciousness among consumers.
