SRM University-AP has become the first institution in India to inaugurate a Quantum Reference Facility (QRF), a landmark step into advanced technology and innovation. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, highlighted the significance of this launch, emphasizing its role in shaping India's quantum future.
The facility was developed in collaboration with leading institutions and scientists from across the country, including DRDO, IITs, and several tech companies. It serves as a critical infrastructure for testing and benchmarking quantum technologies, aiming to propel India into the top echelons of global quantum research.
This initiative not only strengthens India's self-reliance in quantum systems but also positions Andhra Pradesh as a pivotal player in the deep-tech ecosystem. The facility is part of the Amaravati Quantum Valley Project, designed to transform the region into a hub for quantum talent and innovation.
