Homegrown technology brand Ai+ Smartphone is making waves with its latest strategic move. On Thursday, the company announced a partnership with Optiemus Electronics Ltd (OEL) to manufacture 3 million devices in India. Together, they plan a significant joint investment of Rs 125 crore over five years.

The expansive agreement includes the production of mobile phones, tablets, IoT devices, and advanced wearables, all set to be manufactured at OEL's facility in Noida. This ambitious project aims to kickstart production in April 2026 and aims to support the Government of India's 'Make in India' vision.

This collaboration not only promises technological advancements but also significant job creation. Approximately 1,200 direct and indirect jobs are expected to be created across manufacturing, operations, and supporting functions. Ai+ Smartphone's CEO, Madhav Sheth, highlighted the opportunity for growth for Indian brands in a market currently dominated by international players.
