The MANAV acronym, which stands for moral and ethical systems, accountable governance, national sovereignty, accessible and inclusive, and valid and legitimate, aims to ensure AI contributes positively to global welfare.
Modi's announcement drew a humorous remark from Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who criticized the frequent use of acronyms in political discourse. Despite this, Modi stressed India's commitment to open-source AI, emphasizing that AI should serve the global good by being shared and inclusive.
