French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the importance of building sovereign AI capabilities between India and France to reduce overdependence on global tech powers. In a bid to bolster the Indo-French partnership, Macron, alongside India's Union Health Minister J P Nadda, inaugurated the Indo-French Centre for AI in Health (IF-CAIH) at Delhi's AIIMS.

Macron highlighted that AI development should serve humanity, with specific protections for children and ensuring transparency. He emphasized the potential of ethical AI in healthcare to boost productivity and drive scientific advancement. The new center marks a significant step forward in enhancing digital health collaboration between the two nations.

The launch coincided with the 'Rencontres Universitaires Et Scientifiques De Haut Niveau' (RUSH), aimed at fostering academic and scientific partnerships. The forum brought together experts to discuss AI in brain health and the broader healthcare landscape, emphasizing cross-border innovation and collaboration.
