Eyewear leader Lenskart is set to unveil its first AI-powered smart glasses by the end of December, striving to position itself as a technology-oriented lifestyle brand. This move is part of its broader strategy to transition from a direct-to-consumer eyewear retailer into a comprehensive vision-tech ecosystem.
The device, known as 'B by Lenskart Smartglasses', is poised to enrich the eyewear experience with AI-based functionalities, health and well-being insights, and UPI payment integration. The smart glasses will likely launch post the company's stock market debut on November 10, although pricing details remain under wraps.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform, these glasses could revolutionize consumer tech in India, aligning with a strategic partnership that Lenskart and Qualcomm disclosed during Snapdragon for India XR Day in July 2025. If successful, Lenskart would compete with brands like Meta and Amazon, offering products tailored for Indian consumers.
