Olympic hockey medallist Gurbax Singh Grewal has died at the age of 84 following a heart attack in Zirakpur.
Grewal, a key figure in India's 1968 Olympic team, shared the rare honour of representing the nation alongside his brother Balbir Singh Grewal.
Following his illustrious playing career, Grewal contributed to the sport as a senior sports officer with Western Railways, and later played a vital role in sports administration as honorary secretary of the Mumbai Hockey Association.
