Nandre Burger, a pacer for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, has been fined 10% of his match fee due to a breach of conduct against the Lucknow Super Giants, as confirmed by an IPL statement released on Thursday.
Additionally, the 30-year-old Burger received a demerit point for violating Article 2.5 of the IPL code, which pertains to using language, actions, or gestures that may provoke an aggressive reaction from another player.
The left-arm bowler admitted to his offense, which falls under Level 1 breaches of conduct. Therefore, the Match Referee's decision remains final and binding. The Royals emerged victorious with a 40-run win, thanks in part to an impressive performance by their bowling unit.
