Serhiy Rebrov has officially resigned as the head coach of Ukraine's national football team, as confirmed by the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) on Wednesday. Appointed in 2023, Rebrov successfully led Ukraine to the European Championship in Germany.
However, Ukraine's journey to the World Cup was halted following a 3-1 defeat by Sweden in the playoff semi-finals. Despite stepping down, Rebrov plans to continue collaborating with the UAF in a different role.
UAF President Andriy Shevchenko highlighted the need for progress and fresh strategies to build the future team. The association mentioned that a new coach will be announced shortly.
