Kerala Blasters FC delivered a formidable first-half performance, clinching a 2-0 victory against Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League 2025-26, held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Saturday. Strikes from Nihal Sudheesh and substitute Vibin Mohanan secured the triumph for the hosts. Kerela's defense, marshaled by goalkeeper Arsh Shaikh, held firm to maintain a clean sheet, earning Sudheesh the Player of the Match accolade.

The encounter commenced energetically, with both teams striving to dominate the midfield. Kerala Blasters demonstrated initial aggression through Karim Benarif and Kevin Yoke. In response, Jamshedpur adopted a calculated build-up strategy, creating an even contest in the opening phase. The deadlock was broken in the 12th minute as a meticulously created attacking play led to Sudheesh's timely leap and header goal, following Kevin's cross to Benarif, positioning the hosts ahead.

Despite Jamshedpur's immediate counter-attacks, which almost equalized with Lazar Cirkovic's header hitting the post, their final third precision waned. Kerala capitalized on this, extending their lead when Vibin, introduced for an injured Benarif, headed Francisco Feuillassier's cross home. As Jamshedpur persistently sought goals in the second half, Arsh Shaikh's goalkeeping excellence thwarted their advances, culminating in a disciplined defensive display that preserved the Blasters' two-goal cushion.
