This tournament will initiate the ISSF junior circuit, which includes a series of events for shotgun, rifle, and pistol shooters throughout the year.

India is participating with a total of 71 shooters for the 18 medal events, including 36 competitors in the 15 Olympic categories in Cairo. The competition will also feature three additional traditional junior events: men's and women's 50m rifle prone and men's 25m pistol. In total, 284 athletes from 25 countries are set to compete, with the Indian contingent being the largest.

Other nations with strong participations include Egypt, hosting a 29-member squad, and Russia, competing under the Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN) designation, entering 43 participants. The tournament offers an excellent platform for Indian juniors to prove their prowess ahead of the Junior World Championships in June, Suhl, Germany.
