Rasikh Salam Dar orchestrated a masterful bowling display, leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to bundle out Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for a mere 146 in their IPL 2026 showdown at Bengaluru. Rasikh's impressive spell was crucial in dismantling LSG's batting setup, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood offering significant support to ensure LSG never fully regained their footing.
After being sent in to bat, LSG started cautiously, reaching 22 without loss in the initial overs before stumbling. Rasikh claimed the pivotal wicket of Aiden Markram in the fourth over, setting the tone for LSG's struggles. The visitors faced further setbacks with skipper Rishabh Pant leaving the crease after an injury from a Hazlewood delivery.
RCB’s bowling strategy shone through as LSG were held to a paltry 35/1 at the six-over mark. Hazlewood soon struck again, removing Nicholas Pooran as LSG floundered at 63/2. Krunal Pandya played a notable role by achieving his IPL milestone of 100 wickets, contributing to LSG’s continuous loss of momentum and eventual downfall in the innings.
