The minister expresses disappointment, calling their actions a betrayal. He reveals Argentina's similar behavior towards other countries and mentions potential legal actions.
Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman has accused the Argentina football team of deception, claiming they failed to fulfill a promise to play in Kerala after receiving funds. Minister Abdurahiman had orchestrated extensive plans and sourced Rs 250 crore to bring the team, including star player Lionel Messi, to the state.
The minister's disappointment was not just at a personal level but echoes the sentiments of many football enthusiasts in Kerala who were eagerly anticipating the event. Abdurahiman expressed his intention to take legal action against the team, stating this was not an isolated incident but a similar pattern was observed with other countries.
In an unrelated note, Abdurahiman also addressed his political aspirations, announcing a shift to contest in the Tirur assembly constituency. He clarified this decision was driven by a desire to address development issues in his native area and was not a strategy to secure a more winnable seat ahead of the April 9 elections.
