In a final friendly before finalizing World Cup squads, Mexico and Belgium played out a 1-1 draw at Soldier Field on Tuesday.

Jorge Sanchez gave Mexico the lead in the 19th minute, scoring a goal while falling backward. Belgium's Dodi Lukebakio equalized just after halftime with a powerful shot from distance.

Both teams experimented with multiple substitutions in the second half. Belgium faces Croatia next on June 2, while Mexico will play against Ghana on May 22. The World Cup, co-hosted by Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, runs from June 11 to July 19.
