Former Indian cricketer Nikhil Chopra has lauded the exceptional achievements of the Men in Blue in limited-overs cricket, calling it the team's most successful phase yet. Speaking to ANI, Chopra expressed confidence that India's 'complete' team, exhibiting stellar performances, will have a strong chance to capture the 50-over World Cup title in 2027.

India's cricket success story includes making history by defending the T20 World Cup title, triumphing as hosts, and securing a record-breaking third championship. Although they faced a setback losing the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final to Australia, India has since dominated in T20 World Cups and the ICC Champions Trophy under captains Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.

Chopra attributes this remarkable run to India's structured system of cricket leagues, allowing state associations to cultivate talent. The progression from state-backed leagues to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and IPL readies young players for international success. He anticipates future victories, emphasizing India's comprehensive squad led by talents like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
