Pakistan's cricket sensation Sahibzada Farhan has made headlines by clinching the ICC Player of the Month award for February, following his exceptional performance at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Farhan achieved the feat by surpassing Virat Kohli's record for the most runs in a single tournament edition. His standout achievements include two centuries against Namibia and Sri Lanka, making him the first player to accomplish this in a single tournament edition.

The dynamic batsman led the run charts by accumulating 383 runs across seven T20Is, boasting a remarkable average of 76.60 and an impressive strike rate of 160.25. His notable performances during the World Cup propelled him to win the monthly accolade, though the final stages of the tournament in March will be assessed in the next cycle. Farhan expressed his excitement over the recognition, emphasizing the importance of performing on the global stage and acknowledging his teammates' support.

Meanwhile, Indian seam bowler Arundhati Reddy garnered the women's ICC Player of the Month distinction due to her pivotal role in India's T20I series triumph in Australia. Reddy emerged as the top wicket-taker with notable figures, including four for 22 and two crucial hauls. She expressed the honor of receiving the award, highlighting the significance of defeating Australia on their home ground, which has bolstered the team's confidence ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
