Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to Dushmantha Chameera, Pathum Nissanka, and Kamindu Mendis for participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. This comes after they successfully passed their mandatory physical performance tests.
Pacer Chameera and opener Nissanka are set to join the Delhi Capitals, while all-rounder Mendis will play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The athletes were part of SLC's eight-week specialized training program designed to enhance their physical readiness for upcoming international cricket commitments.
Meanwhile, Nuwan Thushara, Wanindu Hasaranga, Eshan Malinga, and Matheesha Pathirana must complete their post-injury rehabilitation before undergoing physical tests for NOC approval. Their participation in IPL 2026 remains contingent upon future evaluations, as noted by the governing body.
