Rising Star: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Shines in IPL
Rajasthan Royals introduce young talent Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to the IPL spotlight, as the 15-year-old cricketer makes waves alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. Captain Riyan Parag aims to protect Sooryavanshi from media pressure, allowing him to focus on his game after an explosive debut last season.
Rajasthan Royals have placed their faith in young prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as he steps into the spotlight in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season. Partnering with Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top of the order, the 15-year-old is expected to showcase his talents, yet the team's captain, Riyan Parag, is keen on shielding him from the intense media glare.
Sooryavanshi, who made a sensational IPL debut last season by hitting a six off his first ball and scoring a record-breaking 35-ball hundred, will open the batting in their campaign starting March 30 against the Chennai Super Kings. His remarkable performances extended beyond IPL, contributing significantly to India's victory at the under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia earlier this year.
To ensure Sooryavanshi remains focused, Parag highlighted Jaiswal's capability to absorb pressure, alleviating unnecessary stress on the young player. "This year, there will be hype and pressure naturally, but as captain, I will tell him to let Yashasvi Jaiswal take the pressure," Parag stated, emphasizing the importance of allowing Sooryavanshi to enjoy his game without media distractions.
