Mauricio Pochettino, newly appointed coach, has reportedly earned more than USD 5 million in just seven months with the U.S. national team, according to financial documents released by the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Appointed on September 10, 2024, Pochettino replaced Gregg Berhalter, earning a total of USD 5,016,917 by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. This amount includes a base salary of USD 2,516,917 and a bonus of USD 2.5 million. In contrast, former coach Berhalter, after his dismissal in July 2024, earned USD 1,774,981 including severance.

The filings detailed the compensation of other key figures within the federation. US women's coach Emma Hayes, CEO JT Batson, and sporting director Matt Crocker were also among the top earners. The financial report highlighted a significant rise in revenue to USD 268.05 million and expenses climbing to USD 260.1 million compared to the previous fiscal year.
