The draw for the FIH Hockey World Cup has placed the Indian men's team in Pool D, alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, as well as England and Wales. Meanwhile, the Indian women will face China, England, and South Africa, as they gear up for the tournament scheduled to run from August 15 to 30.
Unveiled during a ceremony at Amsterdam's iconic Wagener Stadium, the World Cup will be hosted by the Netherlands and Belgium, as announced by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The full match schedule is set to be disclosed shortly.
With an aim to promote unity through sport, FIH President Tayyab Ikram expressed gratitude to the host nations. He emphasized the importance of the event in bringing nations together during turbulent times.
