Indian tennis players Yuki Bhambri and Sumit Nagal have secured crucial financial support worth nearly ₹30 lakh each from the Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) for their training and participation in key tournaments, including the 2026 Asian Games and Davis Cup.
This monetary assistance, approved during the 169th meeting of the MOC under the Sports Authority of India (SAI), is part of a broader effort to bolster Indian tennis for upcoming international contests. Bhambri, currently Asia's top-ranked doubles player, will use the funds for an extensive international schedule.
Meanwhile, Sumit Nagal's training and tournament plans are also financially backed, and emerging player Dhakshineswar Suresh is added to the Target Asian Games Group, highlighting India's commitment to nurturing future tennis talents on the global stage.
