India's Drive to Revive Formula One Gains Momentum

In a bid to reignite Formula One's presence in India, Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya convened with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) to devise a robust framework for nurturing drivers and technicians. The meeting, attended by key officials, emphasized creating a structured pathway within motorsports.

Mandaviya's aspirations were further underscored during his recent visit to the Buddh International Circuit. Discussions included potential Formula One and MotoGP events in India, aligning with the nation's growing technological prowess. The ministry expressed readiness to introduce world-class sports and understand organizational requirements to overcome existing challenges.

Efforts are underway to create professional racing platforms, offering Indian drivers greater exposure. The initiative aligns with national sporting priorities, aiming to cultivate talent, enhance sports infrastructure, and establish India as a global sporting hub.
