Joseph Suaalii, the gifted back for the New South Wales Waratahs, is facing a significant setback after suffering a hamstring injury during warmups before last Friday's Super Rugby match.
Initially named to start as outside centre against the Wellington Hurricanes in Sydney, Suaalii was dramatically pulled from the lineup moments before kickoff, with the Waratahs ultimately falling 59-19 to their opponents.
This injury is the latest in a string of physical setbacks for Suaalii, who is among the highest-paid in Australian rugby following his switch from rugby league. Last year, he participated in only seven games due to toe and jaw injuries.
