In a significant move, Brazilian soccer club Corinthians has secured the signing of former England and Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard. The 33-year-old joins Corinthians on a free transfer from South Korean club FC Seoul, where he has played since 2024.
Lingard, who is well-known for his time at Manchester United, where he played 232 matches and scored 35 goals, will reunite with former Red Devils teammate Memphis Depay at the São Paulo-based club. Depay has been part of Corinthians since 2024, and together they aim to strengthen the team's title prospects.
Corinthians, the current Brazilian Cup champions, is actively competing for this year's Copa Libertadores title. They are currently placed third in the Brazilian league, trailing leaders Palmeiras and Sao Paulo by three points.
