Karnataka Cricket Honors Legends with Stadium Tribute

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has announced a special tribute to cricket legends Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid by naming two stands at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in their honor. This decision is part of a broader initiative under the leadership of Venkatesh Prasad to acknowledge outstanding contributions to Karnataka cricket.

Anil Kumble, India's highest wicket-taker in both Tests and ODIs, expressed his gratitude in the media release. 'All our contributions have made Karnataka cricket what it is,' Kumble remarked, emphasizing the permanent recognition in the stadium. He also lauded Rahul Dravid, the second highest Test run-getter after Sachin Tendulkar, and former women’s national team captain Shantha Rangaswamy for their significant contributions.

Kumble highlighted the deep influence these figures have had on Karnataka cricket and their role as exemplary figures within the KSCA framework. 'Seeing the stands named after so many legends, some of whom I've played with, is wonderful and deserving acknowledgment of their legacies,' he added.
