Bengaluru witnessed an intensive practice session by India's Davis Cup squad on Wednesday as preparations for the match against the Netherlands escalated with top singles player Sumit Nagal stepping up his game.
Post a recent hip injury, Nagal eased into the routine with Dhakshineswar Suresh. Despite cautious early movements, he found rhythm, with Dhakshineswar showcasing impressive service consistency. Karan Singh also stood out, executing authority-driven drills alongside partners Arnav Paparkar and Anirudh Chandrasekar.
Later, doubles specialists N Sriram Balaji and Anirudh Chandrasekar faced Yuki Bhambri and Dhakshineswar, testing serve-return patterns. Skipper Rohit Rajpal commended Nagal's progress, highlighting the team's adaptive strategies in the lead-up to the weekend's tie.
