Samrat Rana Shines in Asian Championship, Secures Bronze in Action-Packed Finale
World champion Samrat Rana clinched a bronze medal in the men's 10m air pistol event at the Asian Championship, despite entering the final in strong form. India also bagged team silver as Samrat, alongside Shravan Kumar and Varun Tomar, delivered a combined score close to Uzbekistan's gold-winning performance.

World champion Samrat Rana took home the bronze medal in the men's 10m air pistol at the Asian Championship, launching the competition with a thrilling start on Wednesday.
The Karnal-based shooter, who previously clinched gold in last year’s World Championships in Cairo, entered the final with high prospects after scoring an impressive 581 in the qualification round. Despite his strong form, Rana finished the medal round with a score of 220.3, trailing behind Uzbekistan’s Vladimir Svechnikov and Kazakhstan’s Valeriy Rakhimzhan.
Meanwhile, India celebrated a team silver victory with a combined score of 1,732, closely losing to Uzbekistan on an 'inner 10' count. India entered the competition with the largest squad, facing strong contenders from countries like Kazakhstan, South Korea, and Japan.
