The Delhi Capitals delivered an outstanding all-around performance to advance to their fourth straight Women's Premier League final, defeating Gujarat Giants by seven wickets in the Eliminator on Tuesday. Opting to bowl, Delhi's bowlers restricted Gujarat to 168 for seven.
Shafali Verma and Lizelle Lee provided a decisive start with an 89-run opening partnership, easing the target chase in just 15.4 overs. Despite a brief interruption by leg-spinner Georgia Wareham, the duo's aggressive approach established a strong platform for the Capitals' successful pursuit.
The final touches came from skipper Jemimah Rodrigues and Laura Wolvaardt, who maintained composure through the middle overs, while veteran Marizanne Kapp struck the winning runs. Earlier, Beth Mooney's unbeaten 62 anchored Gujarat's innings, but the Capitals' disciplined bowling ensured they stayed ahead from the outset.
