Tottenham Hotspur captain Cristian Romero criticized the lack of available players during their 2-2 draw against Manchester City, citing it as 'disgraceful.' Despite numerous injuries, Romero praised his teammates' efforts and urged continued unity and hard work. The club faces challenges with key players sidelined and matches looming.
Tottenham Hotspur captain Cristian Romero has labeled the current squad crisis as 'disgraceful,' as only 11 fit players were available during their Premier League clash against Manchester City, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Argentine defender had to exit the game at halftime, leaving Pape Matar Sarr to take his place, as Tottenham mounted a two-goal comeback. Still, Romero commended his teammates for their outstanding effort.
Injuries have plagued Spurs, sidelining several key players, including Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Bergvall, and Rodrigo Bentancur. Tottenham seeks to turn this challenging phase around as they prepare to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
