The Khelo India Winter Games 2026 kicked off with figure skating making its debut in Ladakh, drawing participants from five states and two Union Territories. Haryana emerged as the frontrunner with five medals in total, including two golds.
Hiya Adlakha of Haryana clinched the first gold, while Stanzin Khando and Tenzin Kunzin from Ladakh secured silver and bronze, respectively. Adarsh Singh Rawat won the novice boys gold, and Haryana's Gauri Rai shone in the advanced categories.
Meanwhile, ice hockey continued to captivate fans as Ladakh triumphed over ITBP in a thrilling match with a 3-1 scoreline. The intense game saw significant body play and remarkable skill displayed by both teams.
