McLaren Strengthens Lineup with Fornaroli and O'Ward as Reserve Drivers

Fornaroli joined McLaren recently and will support existing drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Meanwhile, O'Ward continues to race in IndyCars while also serving as a McLaren reserve.

In a strategic move, McLaren has enlisted Formula Two champion Leonardo Fornaroli and IndyCar racer Pato O'Ward as reserve drivers for the current Formula One season. The announcement came on Thursday, boosting the team's support network for its primary drivers.
Italian driver Fornaroli, 21, became part of McLaren's lineup last month, taking on a test and development role. He will provide crucial backing for Britain's world champion Lando Norris and Australian teammate Oscar Piastri throughout the season.
Mexican driver O'Ward will continue his participation in the U.S.-based IndyCar series while also stepping in as a reserve, marking his second consecutive year in this dual role. The Formula One season kicks off on March 8 in Australia, setting the stage for an exciting year of racing.
