The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA), backed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and acknowledged by the Deaf International Cricket Council, launched the ninth T20 National Cricket Championship for Deaf in 2025. A grand opening ceremony took place at Essex Farm Cricket Ground in Chhawla, New Delhi, attended by prominent guests including Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma and SBK Singh, IPS.

The week-long tournament, under the aegis of the Cyrus Poonawalla Group, runs from November 3 to November 9, featuring 20 teams from diverse states. These include Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and others, competing across four venues in Chhawla. The matches offer a thrilling spectacle, culminating in the grand final on November 9.

IDCA President Sumit Jain emphasized the championship as a movement celebrating the spirit and talent of hearing-impaired cricketers. Roma Balwani, CEO of IDCA, lauded the event's role in promoting inclusivity in sports, highlighting the ongoing efforts to provide visibility and opportunities for deaf athletes nationally and internationally.
