Bengaluru Gears Up for an Exciting Tennis Season
The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association has announced a thrilling tennis season in Bengaluru, hosting the Billie Jean King Cup Play-Offs and next year's Bengaluru Open, an ATP 125 event. The city is poised to welcome world-class talent, with major tournaments scheduled from November 2025 to January 2026.
The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) announced an exciting series of tennis events for Bengaluru on Wednesday. The upcoming season kicks off with the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup Play-Offs, followed by the Bengaluru Open and the ITF W100 tournament.
Spectators can anticipate the Billie Jean King Cup Play-Offs from November 14 to 16. The Bengaluru Open, scheduled for January 5 to 11, 2026, will feature a prize purse of USD 200,000 and offer winners 125 ATP ranking points. This move highlights Bengaluru's capacity to host international tennis events and bring together top-tier talent and enthusiastic fans.
Maheshwar Rao, Secretary of the KSLTA, expressed his excitement for the upcoming tournaments, encouraging local support for Team India. Minister Priyank M Kharge also highlighted the importance of these events, expressing pride in the city's role in hosting such renowned players and competitions.
